In 1980 I had the opportunity and arranged tour use of a Boeing (707) for Fleetwood Mac as a part of their Tusk Tour. The ship had a forward suite-style arrangement with couches, club tables, galley/bar, etc… with the aft portion of the aircraft in first class seating. Unlike most all of my other private aircraft tour arrangements with bands, where I handled all aircraft tour details… pre, post and en-route flight following management thereof, with Fleetwood Mac I was (in this instance) primarily the initial aircraft securement charter/lease broker.

I located the craft and made pertinent flight crew arrangements prior to their tour. (I have one or two more pics somewhere in storage regarding this plane, I’m looking for them now.) I just loved making flight tour arrangements for rock stars in the days… at that time aviation and entertainment retained a wonderful free-lifestyle ‘blend’ of movement by private air along with the freedom of the continued emergence of original rock music!’
